The results showed that water culture was suitable for Doritis pulcherrima. The roots of Doritispulcherrima could carry out adaptive growth under water culture condition and new root would grow either from the old root or from therhizome directly. The highest survival rate was obtained from the formula Ⅴ , while the optimal rate of proliferation and the highestnumber of average flowers on a scape was from the form
